They also provide automated visual quality-inspection systems.

You will be working within a cross-functional R&D international team with an Agile Management approach.
Mansioni
The company is automating visual quality inspection for customers. Depending on customers use cases, defect definitions can vary and require various approaches (colorimetry, measure, deflectometry, ...), sensors (color, stereo, line scan, ...) or lights (stroboscope, laser line, ...).
As a proactive member of the computer vision team, your work will include a varied range of activities around industrial vision system design:
- design and develop novel algorithms for real time object detection (both 2D and 3D), depth estimation, scene reconstruction, pose detection;
- analyse use-case description and samples to define theoretical vision systems constraints;
- test and select lighting, cameras, lens configurations in order to solve quality control use cases;
- applying ML and AI technologies to implement fast learning vision systems for quality control;
- help keeping up with state-of-the-art acquisition technologies (deflectometry, computational imaging, polarimetry) by presenting reviews and setting up experiments and proof of concepts at the company’s lab.
Competenze richieste
IMPRESCINDIBILI | Background in Computer Vision science or related fields; background in Machine Learning with experience in large scale training and evaluation of deep convolutional; proven experience in using and experimenting with optical and vision systems; understanding of vision system trends (3D imaging, computational imaging, polarimetry, GPU, RealSense, AI); strong proficiency in programming languages, in particular Python and C++; hands on experience with Python ML/DL libraries and frameworks like OpenCV, PyTorch, Tensorflow, MxNet, Pandas, Scikit-learn; experience in semi-supervised, self-supervised and weak-supervised learning.
IMPORTANTI | 2+ years of experience developing and designing Computer Vision technologies (both 2D and 3D) and systems; basic knowledge of designing end-to-end ML flows.
GRADITE | PhD degree; knowledge of vision systems like Cognex and Keyence.
Also required: excellent analytical, collaboration and communication skills; ability to grow knowledge within the team without losing attention to results delivery.
